O que o Benagil.pt é e o que não é.
Última atualização:
Editorial guide, not an operator
Benagil.pt is an editorial guide. We do not run kayak tours, SUP tours, boat tours, or any other tourism activity ourselves. We do not hold an RNAAT tourism licence and we do not need one - our role is editorial. To actually visit Benagil Cave legally, you must book through one of the licensed operators we list.
Affiliate relationships disclosure
We earn a small commission when you book a tour through our GetYourGuide or Viator links, at no extra cost to you. This commission helps fund the editorial work - research, source verification, on-the-ground checks. It does not influence which operators we list or how we describe them. Every licensed operator is included in our directory whether or not their bookings flow through an affiliate partner.
Accuracy and last-verified dates
Each page on Benagil.pt shows the date of last verification. We aim to keep regulatory pages - particularly the cave-access rules - current within 30 days of any official change. Operator information (prices, languages, departure points) changes more slowly but does change; verify before booking.
If you spot an error or notice information that has gone out of date, email [email protected]. We update within 5 business days.
Safety
Benagil Cave should be visited only with a licensed guided tour. Several drowning incidents have occurred when visitors attempted to swim from the beach to the cave - conditions look calm at the beach but can be dangerous at the cave entrance. Self-guided access by swimming, kayak, or SUP has been illegal since September 2023, with fines up to €2,000 (see our cave-rules page for the full regulation). Please respect the rules for your safety and the safety of others.
